Access Problems

Apparently our host is working on the MySQL server that the forum is stored on, and that's why we've been experiencing access problems from time to time the last few days. They say they're working as fast as they can because they understand the work is inconveniencing their clients - but they have no way of knowing how long the work is going to take. So, I suppose all we can do is be patient...

fyi I have been experiencing problems accessing this site the past two days on the computer and on my mobile-something about DSF unable to connect to server. -I guess yesterday between 7pm-7:30 est was the longest outage.

fyi ironically there was another inaccessibility for about 15 minutes on my computer and mobile from 9;05pm to 915pm est or so:
Connection Problems
Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later.

I understand it could be for maintenance but just wanted you to know. Sorry about the misinformation on my previous post as I was relying on my memory at the time I posted same.

As for what's going on this time I'm not sure because there isn't any notice posted on our host's Web site. But apparently they've been up to something. And even though it can inconvenience us, we have to expect things like this from time to time.

LOL, Patti.

But I've noticed that once those access problems cleared up back in September, the forum has been responding far faster than it ever has. And things on the maintenance end that use to take minutes to complete now complete in well under a minute. So, I'm thinking that whatever they did was definitely for the better.  [hall2_wink]
