Opal.  Wasn't that the stone that Nicholas put into that Egyptian cup thingy that was supposed to tell Maggie's future?  (I'm still operating on jet lag here, so memory might not be what it should be.)  Or did I miss that?  Is it on the list already?

S is for scale model.

A scale model of Collinwood was filmed for the opening and closing credit sequences of the '91 revival series.

Also...

Obsessed by fears that her own death would soon take place, Elizabeth Collins Stoddard received for her approval a scale model of the mausoleum she commissioned a local architect to design and construct.
"If you've lived a good life and said your prayers every night, when you die you'll go to Collinwood."  - Mark Rainey

I just added thunder and lightning because I assume you're not referring to what occurs in late pregnancy, nor to less color or heaviness on the show.  ;)

Hmm, but the marks on Adam's face were scars.  Was there anything else on DS that could be considered scarlike?

If you mean because I consider the meaning of a word rather than just the part of the definition that seems useful, then yes, I am picky.  :D  If I put you on the spot I do apologize.

Okay to uloid bitemarks.  Next is W.

LOL, Lydia, but sometimes a scar is just a scar.  ;)

W is for whooshing sound - the sound that Barnabas made in episode #358, when Carolyn saw him disappear at the Old House, and then Julia saw him appear in her room as a shadowy figure with Dr. Woodard's voice. Very creepy! [shkdg]

X is for Xenomorphic -  with a form not its own; in an unusual form; having a strange form. When Quentin and Count Petofi switched places, their bodies were xenomorphic, because the wrong minds were in the wrong bodies. [winkg]
